This is a very good album. Its a real pity that most of the tracks were not included in Tracy's recent release of 3 CDs containing her old recordings. My favourite tracks are Weekend and Him.

This album was just released in its entirety in CD format on April 21, 2011. However, be forewarned that it was remastered from an LP and hence, clicks and 'scratches' can be heard especially on the quieter songs. Apart from that, sound quality is good and packaging nice.

Interesting ! Which recording company released it, Warner Music ? Thanks for the heads up !

Nicole,

Yes, Warner Music, but the EMI label also appears. Also released at the same time were The Love Inside and a Chinese album, Messages from the Heart (or something like that - I am a Sg Indian, not Chinese, so relying on friends' translation) LOL. These albums should be out in the shops already.

This CD and other recent re-issue of Tracy Huang's English and Mandarin albums are not readily available in most CD shops. But you can find them at Dreamland Production in Shaw Towers on Beach Road. They are the one who reissued these albums through Warner Music Singapore.

Hi Vernon,
Hope you are able to help me with my question.

Besides this album WEEKEND, I have heard that Tracy did a couple of other duets with Tony and they were contained in one of Tony's solo albums. However, I was only able to track down one Tony LP and that was Tony and Terry with Spencer's "I Won't Move Over" and they were not there. Did Tony Goh release any solo LPs during his days in EMI and what were the titles of those LPs as I would like to get hold of those other duets he did with Tracy Huang.

Many thanks!
CK

Hi CK,

I share the same knowledge as you in this instance. Have not come across any solo album by Tony as yet. Anyone here who may be aware of such an album ? Thanks.

Cheers.

tks for the info, dying to get my hand on the song "Shooting Star", sounded so cosmic when I heard it as a teenager back then. Tony was great with this song. Just wonder if his was original. if not, any idea who was the original singer?

Same here Anonymous, the cosmic arrangements made the song so enchanting..I need to make a trip to Shaw Tower definitely. Can't find this song anywhere else, not even U Tube..

Tracy just released a new album, her first in years, called Tracy Lullaby (half the songs are in English and half in Chinese) Also you can catch this 1981 clip of Tracy introducing Tony just prior to him singing "Him" from the "Weekend" album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwMJnZ4evNE&list=UUrjerbZlUXBtnVFz9mEj65Q&index=4&feature=plcp
