Thanks for having me . I enjoyed the concert today and was thrilled to be able to listen to MaTTHEW AND THE Mandarins for the first time LIVE that is .

Somehow hearing him live was better than listening to the CD . Nothing like hearing it being played infront of you .

You are welcome. It was an interesting show for 60s fans. Besides Matthew & The Mandarins, Victor Woo & The Trailers and The Neu Faces, Vernon Cornelius & his group of talented musicians that included Martin Pereira, Wee Guan and others also made it a memorable evening of us. Cheers.

Thanks for the info Vernon. Our company is having its first D&D and would like to have Matthew and the boys to perform a gig in our function. Just wondering if they still accept invitations/bookings and how could I get hold of them?

I had the priviledge of meeting Matthew and the Mandarins when in Singapore in 1978. Their music brings back many happy memories of "Jack's Place" and "Singer Shark" real name Shakib al Mohary" (sorry if I missplelled your real name Shark)

Cheers.

I had the great pleasure of being invited by Matthew to perform a couple of songs with him in 1988 in Singapore. I have worked with many great artists and musicians and Matthew and his band ranked among the best. An experience i will never forget. have a few great photos still. Lindsay Barton.

After searching for a long time, i finally realized that what was simply labelled The Mandarins in my old cassette was Matthew and the Mandarins. Living on the northeastern side of India next to Myanmar. Most of my younger days were spent listening to country music. Thus, i thought the Mandarins were proper country singer out of USA. I have damaged that cassette long ago and kept searching on the net for any source of the Mandarins. I like their song Stranger. I could not find it anywhere. If anyone have it, can you please share. I liked it much more than the Kris Kristofferson version. :-)

Wow. I thought that the Mandarins were proper country singers out of USA. No wonder i could not find them on the net. Can anyone please share their rendition of Stranger. I really wanted to listen to that again. I used to listen to that in the 1990s but the cassette that i have it on is long time damaged.
