These are my recollections of Singapore's Pop Music from the 60s....plus. Information on each group or artiste varies, depending on my knowledge of them. A selection of their hits from that period is also available here for your listening pleasure. You are welcome to post your comments on any of the topics. this lady is one that i equate to diva status
shes larger than life and an icon
My early memories of Anita was when she was performing at the Top of the Mandarin - Kasbah Nightclub during the 60s. Occasionally sees her at the Chatterbox Coffee House, famous for their Hainanese Chicken Rice at about $10 per plate, after her performance. This lady is a class of her own, even appeared at Las Vegas for a period.

Dear Vernon,
Her first EP had her backed by New Mandarins which was Mathew and his Mandarins. They play soul and it is a rare outing for Anita. She came a long way from there.
